Luxury vegan handbag brand jeane&jax is the go-to destination for laid-back luxury and daytime essentials - their versatile designs and muted colour palette make their range perfect for everyday life. The brand has been featured in FORBES and was voted Best Fashion & Beauty Brand at the Vegan Women's Summit in New York. Eager to give back, the company donates to Humane Society, Animal Justice and other animal welfare organisations, as well as women's shelters.
Founder
Silvia Jeane Gallo was born and raised in Montreal, but has an Italian heritage – and her multicultural background inspired her path as a designer. After earning a BCOMM in marketing and international business, as well as a degree in fashion design, Silvia built a successful career in brand management. After several years of building a network and gaining knowledge, she decided to share her vision by launching her own brand.

Materials
Aiming to use plant leathers only by 2024, Jeane & Jax already works with Natural Fiber Welding's plastic-free MIRUM material, as well as rPET and recycled, water-based polyurethane.
People
By working the factory Veshin in China, jeane&jax are able to significantly improve conditions for workers. Veshin works to eliminate discrimination and ensure gender equality is observed in all aspects. The company also ensures that migrant workers have actively chosen to work for them and views health and safety as a crucial aspect of its operations. As part of their commitment to fair treatment of employees, an audit by BSCI shows that they pay their employees 10% higher than the industry standard and 40% higher than the minimum wage requirements set by local laws. The company aims to enable their employees to lead fulfilling lives with the provided means while having enough time to spend with their families.
Production
jeane&jax partners with manufacturers Veshin, who specialise in vegan production in China. This factory shares the brand's views on a safe, healthy and equality-driven work environment.
