Founder
Anna Nowosad had been vegetarian for over 25 years and worked in marketing and advertising at Credit Suisse before she took the step to start New Orchard, inspired by her desire to find vegan-friendly boots for herself.
Materials
Recycled microfibres, solvent-free faux furs, and recycled cotton and polyester are part of New Orchard's range. The insoles of the shoes are made with kenaf, a material derived from banana waste. No PVC is used in the collections. Materials are sourced from Italy and Poland.
Production
Manufacturing takes place in Poland and Italy. New Orchard visits their partners and suppliers regularly to ensure ethical conditions.
People
The company monitors their supplies carefully to ensure workers are treated fairly. All workers are paid a living wage.
Animals
New Orchard is a PETA-Approved Vegan brand.
Packaging
Recycled and recyclable materials are used in the brand's packaging. The items come in a reusable cotton dust bag.
